And to continue the Christmas cheer, the Property Services Regulations bill (2009) passed both houses of the government this week and is awaiting the signature of our newly elected President. The year at the end of the bill name gives some indication of how long this has been in the making but at least it’s near the finish line now. Once its signed into law, the regulator will have lots of new powers like the licensing and regulation of managing agents (and estate agents and other property companies).
