To whom it concerns:
My name is Andrew O’ Connor,I’m an apt owner out in Ahbourne Co Meath, a fellow resident of mine in Ashbourne sent me your link, it’s a pity I didn’t come across this before now. When is your next meeting as I have a query on the new MUD bill going through the Oireachtas at the moment. The developers in our apt block are proposing to transfer the common areas in the next few weeks to the Management Co, my suspicion is they think by doing this before the new bill comes into law that they won’t be obliged to fix the snagging issues in the common areas, baring in mind that the apt I own is less than 6 years old. Are my suspicions correct?
regards
Andrew

Do you just deal with apartment owners? We live in a house and pay mgt fees and lots of estates are mixed use like this. In fact many of these owners have alot more equity invested in there property and therefore are even more concerned over management company problems.

We assist any member of a management company be they an owner of a house or an apartment. It tends to be that the apartment owners are more quickly impacted by how effective their management company is and whether the developer is still in the driving seat.
We are at this moment trying to give feedback to the Dept of Justice on the MUD Bill and how it relates to houses that are connected through membership of a management company.

If the Dail fals for a General Election the Multi Unit Development Bill is gone as well. Back to square 1

John is right, a general election is the worst case scenario for apartment owners right now. We’re putting a lot of pressure on politicians to schedule a debate on it. We expected one this Thursday but it was postponed.
